Cayman: Weekend Road Closure and Traffic Advisories, 2 & 3 August
From RCIPS
On Friday, 2 August, Cardinal Avenue, between Harbour Drive and Albert Panton Street, will be closed from 7:00AM to 4:00PM to facilitate Jamaica Independence Celebrations at the location.
On Saturday, 3 August, the Saturday Night Live in GT event will be taking place on the George Town waterfront from4:00PM to 11:00PM. While Harbour Drive will remain open, the side lane between the north and south cruise terminals will be a part of the event and heavy foot traffic is expected. Motorists are advised to exercise caution when travelling in the area on Saturday evening.
Cayman: Delays Possible as WORC Staff in Training
Customers of Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman (WORC) department may experience some service delays as front counter staff will be on training for the next few weeks.
The training is underway to ensure that all staff members are trained in the new processes that are in place at the department (which is an amalgamation of former sections under Immigration and the National Workforce Development Agency).
WORC apologises for the inconvenience this may cause members of the public and seeks their patience during this time.
Cayman: Saturday Night Live in George Town Event
The George Town Revitalisation Initiative would like to notify the public that the first Saturday Night Live in George Town event will take place on Saturday, 3 August 2019 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Hog Sty Bay.
The event will create a modern downtown waterfront atmosphere filled with live music, local artisans and tapas-style Caymanian food.
Bring your family and friends and enjoy a celebration of the beautiful city of George Town.
Cayman: Liquor Licence Application Deadline Reminder
Grand Cayman liquor licence holders – including those with music and dancing licences – are reminded of the upcoming Annual Liquor Licence Meeting in early September. The deadline for applications is August 16th, 2019.
To renew a license, persons should submit a completed application form for each location and license, along with the licensing fee for each category. Applications should be returned to the Business Licensing Counter on the 1st floor of the Government Administration Building.
Forms can be downloaded from the Department of Commerce and Investment’s website www.dci.gov.ky. For more information, contact Shelise Jeffery on 244-2202 or Samone Morgan at 244-2097.
