Cayman: Notice of Office Closure at Former Immigration Headquarters -NOW REOPENED
UPDATED: The departments of WORC (Workforce Opportunities & Residency Cayman) and CBC (Customs and Border Control) wishes to inform the general public that the Elgin Avenue offices (formerly the Immigration Building) will reopen for business today at 12noon.
The matter of air circulation concern was investigated and the green light was given to re-enter with no further action required.

Cayman: WORC Employment Services and Training and Development Moving to a New Location
WORC (Workforce Opportunities & Residency Cayman) would like to inform the public that effective Monday, October 28ththe services offered at Midtown Plaza will be moving to Apollo House West, the building formerly known as Walkers House located at #87 Mary Street, George Town.
Persons seeking assistance in finding employment or those wanting to register with WORC are encouraged to call ahead to make an appointment. This ensures the officers can allocate the necessary time needed to work with individual persons.
All WORC services currently offered at the building formerly known as Immigration Headquarters on Elgin Avenue will remain the same.

Cayman: Saturday Night Live in GT returns October 26
The Saturday Night Live in GT series returns to Hog Sty Bay in George Town on Saturday, October 26, 5:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
The event, which is part of the George Town Revitalisation Initiative, will feature live music, art and local food served from food trucks and stalls from restaurants and businesses.
Some of the entertainers at Saturday Night Live in GT will include Gary Ebanks, Danny Loop, UCCI steel band, Pandemic, Low Tide, Palente and DJ Mix Master.

Cayman: Needs Assessment Unit Office Closures
The Needs Assessment Unit (NAU) wishes to inform the public that its Grand Cayman office will be closed at 3 p.m. on Friday, 18 October, to accommodate staff attending the Silent Witness March.
Furthermore, the Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac offices will be closed at 3 p.m. on Thursday 31, October, to facilitate the NAU’s monthly staff meeting.
Both offices will be also be closed all day on Friday, 1 November for a staff function. The NAU apologises for any inconvenience these closures may cause.

Call for Vendors: Cayman Brac Heritage Day
Food and craft vendors interested in participating in the upcoming Cayman Brac Heritage Day can reserve stalls starting Monday 2nd September 2019. The Cayman Brac Heritage Day will be held on Saturday 2nd November at the Heritage House in North East Bay (10am – 3pm) and will be the first official Heritage Day of the 2019 Pirates Week Festivities. The event aims to showcase demonstrations of traditional arts and crafts and offer games, traditional food and juices, as well as a venue to highlight local talent. Vendors willing to host traditional or carnival games are encouraged to register. Registration is FREE. All food vendors must present a valid DEH Food Handling Certificate with completed application forms. Space is limited, please register early. Deadline to apply is Friday 18th October.
