Elections Office Closes for Funeral Tue Jan 7
The Elections Office will close at noon on Tuesday, 7 January 2020 for the funeral of Rupert McCoy. Management apologises for any inconvenience.
NAU Office Closed Thursday Jan 9
The Needs Assessment Unit will close to the public on Thursday, 9 January 2019, from 1p.m. to facilitate a staff meeting. Management apologises for any inconvenience caused.
Garbage Pickups Rescheduled
The Department of Environmental Health advises that garbage pick-ups scheduled for last Thursday and Friday, 26-27 December 2019 will instead be collected today Tuesday, 31 December. These areas include:
· Hirst Rd.- from Countryside Plaza to inside Moonbeam Dr.,
· Shamrock Rd. from the entrance of Condor Rd. to inside Midland Acres,
· Will T. Dr. to Northward entrance included Old Yard Ln.,
· From Midland Acres. to John Mclean Dr.,
· Frank Sound Rd. to Hut land Rd.,
· From the entrance of Northward Rd. to Belford Estates via Condor Rd.,
· Ocean Club, to Spotts Newlands, Frank Hall Homes.
Pick-ups scheduled for Monday, 30 December will instead be collected tomorrow, 1 January 2020. These areas include:

The delays are due to an increase in waste being put out over the holiday period and the Department apologises for any inconvenience caused.
WORC Boards Meeting Dates:
The Work Permit Board (WPB) will have its last meeting for the year on Wednesday, 18th December 2019 and will resume meetings on Wednesday, 8th January 2020.
Cayman Status and Permanent Residency Board (CSPR) will have its last meeting for the year on Thursday, December 12th, 2019 and will resume on Thursday, January 16th, 2020.
Business Staffing Plan Board (BSPB) will have its last meeting for the year on Wednesday, 18th December 2019 and resume meetings on Wednesday, 8th January 2020.

Cayman Islands Public Holidays 2020
All public holidays for 2020, with the exception of the Queen’s Birthday holiday in June, are now confirmed.
· The Queen’s Birthday holiday is anticipated to be on Monday, 15 June but remains subject to confirmation.
· Christmas holidays take place around the weekend next year.
Grand Cayman (GIS) – The Deputy Governor’s Office has confirmed public holidays in the Cayman Islands for 2020, with the exception of the Queen’s Birthday.
The United Kingdom traditionally celebrates Her Majesty’s birthday by holding the Trooping of the Colour ceremony on the second Saturday in June. As such the public holiday in the Cayman Islands is likely to be Monday, 15 June 2020. Confirmation is expected in early 2020.

National Trust Extraordinary General Meeting
The National Trust Chairman has called an Extraordinary General Meeting (“the EGM”) as per section 7(2) of the National Trust Bye-Laws (2015), for the purpose of discussing the National Trust Council’s actions in bringing a Judicial Review of the Government’s proposals for the Cruise Berthing Port and to authorise any further action depending on the outcome of the Court proceedings. The Extraordinary General Meeting will be held on Thursday, 9th January 2020, at 6:00 PM at George Town Yacht Club, Barcadere Marina, 606 North Sound Rd., George Town.
