The embassy has become an integral part of making the Haiti Tech Summit experience accessible to entrepreneurs in Haiti and across the Caribbean. Building on the success of previous summits, the 2020 edition will increase the skills and networks of tech entrepreneurs from across Haiti through a major online summit. Haiti Tech Summit since its inception has become the largest tech conference in the Caribbean and welcomed entrepreneurs from around the world. Entrepreneurs interested in learning how to incorporate technology into their business model and marketing strategies are encouraged to apply now through September 30, 2020 here. As part of the Embassy’s on-going efforts to promote entrepreneurship and economic growth, the Embassy is welcoming representation from creators and innovators across Haiti to participate. Participants engage virtually with more than one hundred speakers from Google, Airbnb, LinkedIn, Uber, and many others. Haiti Tech Summit, a 13-year initiative of the Global startup Ecosystem, brings together hundreds of entrepreneurs, investors, digital marketers, and creatives in Haiti to accelerate tech, innovation, and economic development within the country. The U.S. Embassy in Haiti and Haiti Tech Summit have just opened applications for the event’s fourth annual Startup Lab – a 1:1 mentorship opportunity with global experts. For 2020, the embassy will continue its commitment to Haitian entrepreneurs to empower and lead during a time of crisis with resilient entrepreneurship and technology.
