Information session on Farmers’ Identification & Registration Programme 25 May
The Ministry for Planning, Agriculture, Housing & Infrastructure invites all commercial and non-commercial farmers, backyard farmers, registered and non-registered agricultural producers and any person with an interest in the agricultural sector to an information session on the Farmers Identification & Registration Programme.
The information session will be held on Thursday, 25 May 2023 at 7pm at the Stacy Watler Pavilion, Agricultural Grounds.
The Farmers Identification & Registration Programme is a Ministry led initiative which has the consensus of the Cayman Islands Agricultural Society, and the Department of Agriculture. Representatives from the three organisations collaborated to develop new criteria for the identification and registration of agricultural producers in the Cayman Islands.
The information session will outline the rationale for the new programme, as well as the criteria and benefits for agricultural producers.
