My Name is Gary Arndt
In March 2007 I sold my house and have been traveling, blogging and taking photos around the world ever since. So far I have visited all 7 continents, over 170 countries and territories around the world.
I am also a self taught travel photographer who was named Travel Photographer of the Year by both the Society of American Travel Writers and the North American Travel Journalists Association.
During my last trip to Jordan I had the experience of canyoning up the Wadi Mujib. It wasn’t an easy experience. The river is rough and there are several waterfalls you have to climb up. In fact, I lost my glasses during the trip as they were blown off my face going down a waterfall.
I should also add that this all took place below sea level. Wadi Mujib is near the Dead Sea, which makes it one of the lowest elevation rivers in the world.
