Int’l Meeting Casa del Habano Partagas Starts in Havana

Havana, Apr 16 (Prensa Latina) The event of Friends of the Casa del Habano Partagas began today in this capital with the participation of smokers from Canada, Grand Cayman and Mexico.

This is the twenty-fifth edition of a meeting that happens twice a year, in April and November, with the aim of bringing to consumers of cigars in the world to this product and culture, organizers said.

Scheduled until Friday, has an extensive program informed by the director of the Casa del Habano Partagas, Grecia Quiñones, who explained that this facility opened in 1993, operates under the guidelines of the Business Group SA Caracol Stores.

The event includes the presentation of the premium brand cigars San Cristobal de La Habana in your case, marketed by the international corporation Habanos SA.

For the occasion, and as a celebration for the 20th anniversary of this house, attendees have the opportunity to try cigars made especially for the time of the establishment by the twister, Leopoldina Gutierrez (also Called La China), well known among the local foreign customers.

The meeting agenda includes an opening in the Palace of the Arts in this city, musical shows and tasting cigar news.

In addition, project visits to recreational sites of the archipelago, such as the Hotel Villa Tropic Villa Jibacoa and Charco Azul stays to allow sun and beach and a camp meeting, respectively.

The Partagas House, located in Old Havana, behind the old Capitol in this city, is on the ground floor of the building where it started the brand of the same name in 1845 by Jaime Partagas.

This house was visited by celebrities such as timely film director Steven Spielberg and his fellow actors Whoopi Goldberg, Jack Nicholson, Matt Dillon and Michael Douglas, and Frenchman Gerard Depardieu.

The La Casa del Habano franchise appeared in 1990 and belongs to Habanos SA corporation, with more than 140 dwellings in the world.

Year by year, smokers from Spain, Italy, France, USA, Canada, Brazil, Cayman Islands, Switzerland, Japan, Russia, Mexico, Germany, China and Panama visit the house and take part in the event.
