The Invictus Sports Academy will be staging the inaugural Invictus Reggae Classic Track & Field Meet on the 9th and 10th June 2017 at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex, under the Patronage of the Deputy Governor of the Cayman Islands and with the approval of the Director of Education.
The concept of the Invictus Reggae Classic Track & Field Meet is to re-engage with the Caymanian public by the staging of a Meet that will feature the participation of a wider cross-section of the Caymanian society than in previous years.
The Inaugural Meet will be open to Primary and Secondary Schools as well as to Athletic Clubs and the wider community. The Inaugural Meet will have a Primary School Division, a High-School Division, an Athletic Clubs Division, A Security Services Division, Special Olympics, and a Utilities and Bankers Division.
Invitation to compete has been delivered to all the Primary and High Schools on the Islands as well as to the major Utilities Companies, A Banks, Special Olympics Cayman Islands, and the Customs, Immigration, Fire and Police Services.
The Primary Schools will compete in the Under 9 and Under 11 Divisions, while the High Schools will compete in the Under 13, Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19 Divisions. The Clubs and Individual athletes will compete across all age groups and categories. The Security Services Division as well as the Banks and Utilities Division will compete in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100m, 800m Medley Relay and Tug-of War Events.
Details of the Meet and Registration for the Meet can be done online or by downloading a Registration Form from the Clubs website at www.invictussportsacademy.ky. All Registration must be submitted by the 31st May 2017. The Meet is scheduled to start at 3:00pm on Friday 9th June 2017 and at 1:00pm on Saturday 10th June 2017.

There will be a special raffle of a pair of autographed boxing gloves by boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.
