Island Games
The Falklands team will compete in a variety of disciplines including the 10,000 metres, 800 metres, 1500 metres and 5000 metres, 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres, badminton, football, golf, shooting and swimming.
Bermuda will host the Island Games at 15 different venues across the island from 13th July until 19th July.
Bermuda is expected to field the largest team of 300 odd athletes, with Guernsey, Faroe Islands, Cayman Islands and the Isle of Wight expected to bring contingents of over 100 athletes.

The International Island Games were founded in the Isle of Man in 1985 and today include 24 member islands in, or associated with, the nine sovereign nations of Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the UK, plus the Caribbean.
The Islands come together every two years to compete in friendly competition in a range of up to 14 sports chosen by the host Island from an approved list of 18.
Since 1999 NatWest has been the title sponsor for the Island Games which have become one of the largest international multi-sport events in the world, behind the Commonwealth Games and Olympics.
During the summer of 2008, Bermuda secured its bid to host the NatWest Island Games 2013 which will be held on 13th July – 19th July. Around 2000 athletes and officials plus several supporters are expected to attend.
