Jamaica hosting triangular domino series with the Cayman Islands and USA
Domino players from the Cayman Islands, arrived in the island on Thursday (16) morning, to join the United States and host Jamaica in a triangular series.
The 12 member contingent from the Cayman Islands, [played] their first match on Friday evening, against the United States at the Empire Plaza in Cross Roads.
Oleta Elliott is secretary of the Islands All Star domino club, one of the strongest in the Cayman Islands, where the sport she says, is moving in a positive direction.
The tournament which [ended] on Sunday (19], actually got underway on Tuesday evening at the Red Stripe oval, where Jamaica beat the United States by 31 points.
The female members of the Cayman Islands team are in a very upbeat mood and they [promised] to lead the charge.
The tournament is part of the Jamaica domino council’s effort to move the sport forward.
