Jamaica Voted Leading Cruise Destination and Leading Tourist Board
MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica – Jamaica is this year’s Leading Caribbean Destination and Leading Caribbean Cruise Destination as determined by the World Travel Awards.
The annual Caribbean & North America Gala Ceremony took place at the Sandals Montego Bay on September 22, 2018.
For the 12th year, the Jamaica Tourist Board is the Caribbean’s Leading Tourist Board.
Additionally, the Port of Ocho Rios was awarded Caribbean’s Leading Cruise Port and the Port of Montego Bay was awarded Caribbean’s Leading Home Port.
“We’re honored to be recognized as the best in the region. Each accolade, the Caribbean’s Leading Destination, the Leading Cruise Destination and the Leading Tourist Board reaffirms the strength of our tourism product,” said Donovan White, Jamaica’s Director of Tourism. “These awards are testament to the collective mission of our partners to promote the best of Destination Jamaica, and together we celebrate these achievements.”
World Travel Awards™ was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries.
