Cayman Islands Health Services Authority invites applications for the following positions:

ANAESTHETIST

RADIOLOGIST

OPHTHALMOLOGIST

INTERNIST

GENERAL SURGEON

UROLOGIST

PAEDIATRICIAN

The Anaesthetist position is based in Cayman Brac at the Faith Hospital, and will therefore include a significant volume of General Practice work. All other positions are based in Grand Cayman, with a range of 1-3 specialist support. The Urologist position is a single incumbent post.

Responsibilities: The postholder provides high quality patient care in the respective disciplines.

Qualification and Experience: A Medical Degree and Postgraduate qualification in the appropriate specialisation. Must be registered to practise as a Specialist in any of the following jurisdictions: Jamaica, USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and/or Australia, and will need to demonstrate at least three-four years’ experience post specialist training/qualification.

Salary: CI$111,447 to CI$144,348 per annum

These appointments carry two-year contracts, in the first instance, with the option to seek renewal. Other benefits include an on-call allowance, relocation expenses, subsidised Health Care (Medical/Dental/Optical) and a Pension Scheme. There is no direct taxation of Salary in the Cayman Islands.

The Authority is one of the leaders in Health Care in the region; it covers the three Islands of Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman. The Authority has a 124 bed hospital in George Town (24 hour full service medical facility), a 18 bed hospital, Faith Hospital, Cayman Brac, five Health Centres, a Dental and Eye Clinic.
