The “man” has been identified as Joey Ebanks, who was suspended as managing director of the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA), by HE Governor Duncan Taylor when irregularities were discovered by Auditor General Alastair Swarbrick at the end of February.
Mr Ebanks is standing for election in North Sound and has made accusations of corruption against the incumbent MLA Ezzard Miller as well as Governor Duncan Taylor and the chairman of the Judicial Legal Services Commissions via his Facebook account.
He also claimed that when he was MD of the ERA he was asked to fix the bid for DECCO in order for them to be awarded the contract to generate 36MW of future power. This resulted in the ERA ordering an investigation into the tendering procedures that resulted in DECCO being awarded the contract.
