Justin Ebanks rated best Cayman Islands government employee in March
Congratulating Mr. Ebanks for his efficiency, Deputy Governor Hon. Franz Manderson, Cert. Hon., JP, also lauded his ability to multi-task and credited him as one of the primary officers who ensured the unit remained operational despite relocating challenges. This included functioning in capacities ranging from handy man to providing IT services, all with the goal for the unit to continue functioning with minimal disruption during the move.
“Thank you for demonstrating such a remarkable level of performance and commitment to the Cayman Islands Government,” Mr. Manderson commented.
Even though facing a heavy workload as an integral part of the NAU team, Mr. Ebanks undertakes part-time studies and is currently on the Dean’s List.
This is all the more remarkable considering that Mr. Ebanks frequently works well beyond office hours, including weekends, to meet clients’ needs, help complete tasks assigned to his team and provide them continuous mentorship.
Also proving by example the importance of continuing education, he encourages his team to learn, gain new knowledge and further their formal education.
His dedication to serve is also infectious and his team shows appreciation by working long hours where necessary and remains abreast of assigned tasks. He also finds time to assist members of his team to ensure they have a proper understanding of their assignments and can perform better. Understandably, his team holds him in high regard.
Not one to prefer the spotlight, Mr. Ebanks shrugs off his accomplishments, instead crediting his team for their solid performance. “I am delighted my team understands the importance of providing high quality service as civil servants. I applaud and thank them for their consistent commitment to ensuring NAU’s values are always upheld,” he comments humbly. “I am grateful to the DG for choosing me for this honour but could not have accomplished it without my team,” he adds.
