Kids get a real taste of science
The Year Six students of the Sir John A. Cumber Primary School assumed the role of pastry makers this week during a Science lesson.
They were given the unique opportunity of working along with the pastry chefs of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman as a part of their unit of inquiry on matter. The students were conducting inquiry on chemical, physical, reversible and irreversible changes in matter.
Their discovery involved manipulating bread dough and tracking the stages and changes in the baking process while on a guided tour of the bakery.
The teachers and students are grateful to Mr. Fabian Bornefeld, Human Resources Manager, Jolene Nelson, Chef Ben and his team and all the ladies and gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman for making this unforgettable experience possible.
