Motor cycle and vehicle collision

At 7:42 pm Wednesday 21 October 2015 emergency crews were notified of a motor collision in Lower Valley involving a motor cycle and a motor car. The rider of the motor cycle, an off duty police officer, on a private vehicle, was struck near the junction of Shamrock Road and Will T Drive, Bodden Town.

The male rider received injuries to his ankles and was transported to the George Town Hospital for treatment.

The matter is under investigation by uniform police officers.

Arrest

Around 11:10am Wednesday 21 October 2015, a 21 year old George Town male was arrested at the Courts Building for possession ganja and suspicion of consuming a control drug. The accused was visiting the courts building at the time but was arrested by police officers in the lobby at the screening station.

He was subsequently bailed to return to the George Town Police Station at a later date.
