35 year old Leighton Griffin Rankine was denied bail by Justice Charles Quin last week after the crown told the court that the charges were too serious and the evidence against him too great.

Rankine has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, wounding, possession of an unlicensed firearm, unlawful use of that firearm as well as common assault outside the Club 7 nightclub last February.
