Letters to the Editor : Rocketman (unverified)
Since January 2011 there have been three disappearances of persons living and working in the Cayman Islands. Citizen as well as foreign nationals. None of these cases have been solved and have grown cold.
The Tourism Industry has been a serious barrier to acquiring outside assistance needed to upgrade the quality of police searches because of the government preference to protect its financial industry and its tourism product. This seem to be more important than saving lives.
Five days ago Nathan Clarke a school teacher assistant and a professional Dive master went missing. Nathan and and his fiance Lisa Beck both UK nationals had visiting guests from the UK partying in celebration of their guests seemingly. Could it be that anyone among these so called guests maybe a Judas and was up to no good? Was there a party crasher that joined the group who may be responsible for luring Nathan away? Was Nathan battling with any habits unknown to us? did he and his fiance have a fight and the phone landed in the water deliberately? If he was at the water’s edge, did a shark pull him into the water, what really happened to Nathan Clarke
As we weigh the pros and cons considering that this man was abducted like the other two women went missing earlier in 2011; then it leaves one to question and perhaps come to the hard conclusion that maybe the people of the Cayman Islands may have living in their midst a very dangerous individual of a serial killer nature.
If so, there is no debate to negate that this person fits the description of a former marine or perhaps a former navy seal who has gone rogue. Of a surety this he person certainly has military background if they can pull off an attack randomly picking an individual from any community so efficiently and dispose of someone so securely without a trace… This is a very highly trained individual and extremely dangerous. It is high time Cayman Islands Immigration and Police start checking the backgrounds of people coming into the island since 1999 the date is significant. Dating back then, There have been individuals landing in the Cayman Islands under highly suspicious circumstances unacceptable to even the Commissioner of the police of the day and this has not been taken seriously by our government..
It is time for Governor Duncan Taylor to act responsible together with the Commissioner of Police and find a solution to internal security of the people of the Cayman Islands and commence an investigation of a military nature into these disappearances. This abductor or abductors is of no amateur status, but he or she is a highly trained professional that must be caught and punished for these crimes.
We shall await the response of our Governor to see just how much he really cares about the safety of the people of the Cayman Islands seeing that one of his own countrymen has been a victim so far. Maybe he will act now.
