Cayman Islands Departments of Tourism and Environment (DOT) and (DOE) invite everyone to the Living Green Fair on Saturday, April 20, 2013, 10:00am – 4:00pm at the Lions Centre and the admission is Free!!
The Cayman Islands Environmental Programme for the Tourism Sector (CEPTS) is a program initiated to encourage the implementation of environmental best practices and improve the overall environmental performance of attractions/accommodations and suppliers within the tourism industry.
Through CEPTS, the DOE and DOT are committed to educating other government agencies and private sector on environmentally friendly best practices they can adopt at home and in the work place. In celebration of Earth Day, DOT and DOE will be hosting an expo to promote “Living Green” and have businesses and organizations promote their environmentally friendly initiatives.
Iggy the Iguana and Sir Turtle will make appearances. Event will have a kid’s zone with environmentally friendly crafts. Visitors will have chance to win door prizes and grand prize green getaway to Little Cayman which is Destination Certified by the Green Globe programme.
An opportunity to learn about the green products and services available in Cayman, as well as the Cayman Islands Environment Programme for the Tourism Sector.
Food and beverages will be provided from 11am – 2pm and there will be prize giveaways throughout the day.
