UPDATE: 39-year-old male found deceased NAMED

The RCIPS can now name the deceased in relation to yesterday’s below release as 38-year-old James Dean McLaughlin of the United States of America. Mr. McLaughlin was employed locally as an Investment Analyst. CID Detectives are still conducting inquiries into the circumstances surrounding his death. A post mortem has been scheduled. It is premature at this time to speculate on the cause of death.
The Detectives are appealing to persons who may have seen or spoken to Mr. McLaughlin between Monday, 19th and Tuesday, 27th May 2014 or who may have information about his whereabouts during this period to contact Detective Inspector Collins Oremule at 516-8746 or Detective Sergeant Charmane Huntley at 525-9395 or Crime Stoppers at 800-8477(TIPS).

Officers from the RCIPS are currently on scene at a resort complex on West Bay Road* investigating the death of a 39-year-old male who was discovered earlier today.
The cause of death has yet to be determined as the investigations continue.
A further update will follow as more information becomes available.
* The complex on the West Bay Road has been identified as Treasure Island.
40-year-old female charged with nine counts of uttering false documents
Today, (Tue 27) an officer of the RCIPS Financial Crime Unit formally charged a 40-year-old female with nine counts of uttering false documents. The lady was initially arrested on 12th December 2013 around 6:00 am on suspicion of uttering a false document following a police operation in Rackley Boulevard, Newlands. She has been bailed to appear before the Summary Court on 3rd June 2014 at 10:00am.
