Man in hospital following boating incident
A 25-year-old man, who was crushed between two boats in George Town Harbour earlier this afternoon, has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The man was working on a boat in the Harbour, between the North and South terminals, around 1.20 pm today, Friday 8 June 2012.
At this time the boat began to drift towards another vessel. The man attempted to get between the two boats to push them apart, but was crushed and fell into the water.
He was recovered from the water and conveyed to the Cayman Islands Hospital, George Town, where he is currently being treated.
The incident is being investigated by the Joint Marine Unit.
