Man injured during robbery – Grand Harbour

George Town detectives are continuing enquiries into a robbery which occurred last Thursday (15) morning in the Careenage area of Grand Harbour.
About 3.00am on Thursday, 15 August, a man was returning to his home in the Careenage. As he left his vehicle and walked towards his front door he was suddenly confronted by two masked men who were in possession of what appeared to be handguns and a machete. The suspects threatened the man and struck him on his hand with the machete. They stole keys, an iPad mini, a blackberry and a bag containing diabetic medical equipment. The suspects made off from the scene in a small white van.
The injured man was conveyed to the Cayman Islands hospital and was released following treatment.
No descriptions are available for the suspects at time.
