Man robbed and stabbed – Raleigh Quay

A man is recovering in hospital after being stabbed and robbed of his phone in Raleigh Quay.
Shortly before 1.30am today (Wednesday 10 July) the man was opening the door to enter his condo in Raleigh Quay when he was suddenly confronted by two men who struck him on the head, grabbed his iPhone and stabbed him in the abdomen.
The suspects then ran off along Raleigh Quay towards the new bypass. On the arrival of the emergency services the injured man, who is 34 years of age, was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital in George Town. His condition is described as stable and he is currently being interviewed by police.
One of the suspects is described as being 5`8″ – 6` in height with a dark brown complexion. His hair was cut short and is said to be ‘close to his scalp’. No description is available for the second suspect at this stage.
