Man Robbed on West Bay Road near Raleigh Quay Early This Morning

Around 1:20AM early this morning, 23 February, officers responded to a report of a robbery on West Bay Road near Raleigh Quay. A man had left Calico Jack’s at Public Beach a few minutes before and was walking along West Bay Road in the direction of Raleigh Quay when a vehicle stopped near him. Two persons were in the vehicle, a male driver and a male passenger, seated in the back.

The passenger exited the vehicle armed with a knife, dressed all in black, with a black scarf covering his face. The passenger threatened and kicked the man about his body while demanding his wallet. The victim threw his wallet out of his pocket, which the passenger picked up. He then climbed back into the vehicle, which sped off in the direction of West Bay.

The victim was treated at George Town Hospital for minor injuries and released.
