Escaped Prisoner Marcus Manderson Recaptured 

About 4:10 pm Friday 15 November 2013 RCIPS Units including the Serious Crimes Task Force, Uniform Support Group and K9 conducted an operation in the Eastern Avenue area of George Town in which escaped prisoner Marcus Manderson was recaptured.

Robbery in East End

On Friday 15th November 2013 at 4:07 pm a report of robbery was received. The complainant reported that a male held her up at knife point on Austin Conolly Drive, East End and took her handbag containing a large amount of cash. There were no injuries and no firearm was reported to be involved.

Officers of the eastern districts attended and carried out an extensive search with negative results.

The matter is under investigation.

Man Arrested For Causing Death by Dangerous Driving for Hell Road Collision in July 2013 

On 7th July 2013 a motor vehicle accident occurred on Hell Road in West Bay where a motor bike collided into a bicycle ridden by Stephen Powery, who died on impact. The driver of the motor cycle also received injuries.

On Friday 15 November 2013 at 1:24 pm the driver of the motor bike was arrested on suspicion of Causing Death by Dangerous Driving. He was released on bail pending further police inquiries.

The traffic lights at Bobby Thompson / Smith Road are now working normally.
