Mexican Independence Day in Las Vegas Kicks off a Lively Hispanic Heritage Month
Mexican Independence Day weekend kicks off the month-long Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, both of which are celebrated fabulously in Las Vegas. Also known as “El Grito”—translated to “the scream,” or the cry for independence—the holiday marks Mexico’s freedom from Spain. Hispanic Heritage Month follows, honoring the cultures and contributions of those from all Latin American countries.
Las Vegas is the ideal destination for celebrating the weekend and month, as many of Latin music’s top performers flock to the destination to put on spectacular shows at some of Las Vegas’ most iconic concert venues. Los Bukis continues their run as the first all-Spanish language residency on the Las Vegas Strip, while legends such as Emmanuel and Alejandro Fernández take to the stage—all culminating in an epic weekend of music-fueled revelry.
