More DVITP Graduates
Thirteen graduates recently received certificates upon completing the Domestic Violence Intervention Training Programme (DVITP).
Drawn from the Department of Community Rehabilitation, Postal Services, Public Libraries, Crisis Centre, and including retired police officers from the United Kingdom, the latest group of participants were recognised for demonstrating high levels of commitment, increased knowledge and success in their work.
The three full-day sessions were offered by the Department of Counselling Services’ Family Resource Centre (FRC).
DVITP provides sensitivity training for professionals who interact with victims of domestic violence. The programme educates persons about domestic violence and the surrounding issues, while providing them with appropriate responses to end the cycle of violence.
