At approximately 4am this morning a Honda CRV motor vehicle collided with a CUC lightpole on the Esterley Tibbetts highway near to the National Gallery.

As a result of the collision the vehicle burst into flames.

The 51 male driver was taken to hospital by a passerby.He was treated for non life threatening injuries and later discharged.

There was no other persons or vehicles involved.

The public are asked to contact the George Town Police Station on 949 4222 should they have any information regarding the incident.
