Just before 1PM yesterday, 12 July, the 9-1-1 Communication Centre received a report of a collision on Crewe Road in the vicinity of First Baptist Church. A 1996 Toyota Supra had crashed into a utility pole, knocking it over. The male driver, a vehicle inspector with the DVDL, received light injuries and was taken to the hospital. The falling pole struck another vehicle, causing damage to the car, but no one in the second vehicle was injured.

Police are investigating the incident. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call the Traffic Management Unit at 649-6254.
