Mourant Ozannes associate Tracey Forbes admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in the Cayman Islands
Tracey, daughter of Luke and Alta Forbes, first attended Trinity College School in Canada before obtaining her Bachelor of Laws Degree with Honours at the University of Liverpool. She then completed her postgraduate diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law, Manchester. Tracey is currently undertaking a Masters Degree in International Legal Practice with a specialism in Corporate and Commercial Law.
Before undertaking her Articles of Clerkship with Mourant Ozannes, Tracey gained extensive experience at local law firms in the Cayman Islands and spent a month in East Africa undertaking pro bono work at various legal clinics across Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda.
Tracey has accepted a position as an Associate with Mourant Ozannes. At her swearing-in, she noted: “I would like to express my thanks to the partners at Mourant Ozannes for allowing me the opportunity to train with the firm and for the guidance they have provided to me as I developed throughout my training. Thank you to all of my other colleagues at Mourant Ozannes for your guidance, training and patience.”

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:
Tracey is an associate in Mourant Ozannes’ Cayman Islands office. She is a member of both the corporate and litigation teams. Tracey joined the firm as an articled clerk in May 2012 and qualified as an associate in January 2014.
Tracey has experience in the establishment and maintenance of investment funds, including hedge funds and private equity funds, as well as general corporate and commercial matters. She also has experience in general commercial litigation matters.
Prior to joining Mourant Ozannes Tracey gained offshore law experience at other leading firms in the Cayman Islands. Tracey also spent time in East Africa undertaking pro bono work at various legal clinics across Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Tracey is an Attorney of the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands. She is a graduate of the University of Liverpool where she gained her Bachelor of Laws with Honours and she completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Manchester. Tracey is currently undertaking a Masters degree in International Legal Practice with a specialism in Corporate and Commercial Law.
