Funds specialist Gavin Farrell, partner at offshore law firm Mourant Ozannes, has continued to be recognised in the top five of global offshore funds experts according to the Who’s Who Private Funds legal market place analysis.

The latest Private Funds research, published by Who’s Who Legal, is comprised of 459 practitioners from 164 firms in 45 countries who are considered leaders in their field. The research highlights just three offshore law firms, including Mourant Ozannes, as leading global offshore players and also selects the most highly regarded individuals in the world, including the top five lawyers in New York, London and offshore. Gavin Farrell has been selected in the top five offshore lawyers alongside peers from the Cayman Islands, Channel Islands and Luxembourg.

Partner in the Guernsey funds team, Gavin was praised for his “highly respected” practice which is described as “the offshore practice of choice” by clients who appreciate his “creative, purposeful and solutions-driven approach.” Ten Mourant Ozannes funds experts around the globe are also recognised as leading lawyers by the research including Neal Lomax, partner in the Cayman Islands, described as “one of very best in the Caymans”, Ben Robins, head of funds in Jersey, “a consistently reliable source of advice on the most complex and demanding transactions,” and Robert Duggan, managing partner of the London office who is known to have “a profound commercial awareness that separates him from most.”

Who’s Who Legal is a global publication identifying the leading lawyers in multiple areas of business law. Who’s Who places heavy emphasis on feedback from clients who work with the firms involved, in order to compile their research.
