Mourant Ozannes maintains support for young Cayman cricketers
The law firm has developed a relationship with Cayman Islands Cricket Association (CICA) over several years and the renewed sponsorship deal, which is worth CI$5,000 annually, will help deliver coaching programmes for secondary school competitions, which attract teams of up to 15 teenagers from each of the eight schools in Cayman.
The sponsorship also assists CICA with specialist training sessions and a number of summer camps for the Under 15 National team who represent Cayman in competitions in other locations, such as the Bahamas.
Hector Robinson, Partner, Mourant Ozannes, said: “Mourant Ozannes is delighted to continue its support for young cricketers in Cayman. Grassroots sport is so important to the community and we are committed to nurturing it through targeted sponsorship initiatives such as this.”
Ian Goodall, Treasurer of the Cayman Islands Cricket Association, added: “Our youth programme is a core element of what we do. Sport is a fundamental part of any community and enabling our younger members to develop their skills and confidence is so important. Without the support of sponsors such as Mourant Ozannes this simply would not be possible.”
The CICA is responsible for the development and promotion of cricket both locally and internationally.
Mourant Ozannes’ vision is to be consistently recognised as the leading law firm offshore.
