MPE CARIBBEAN REPORT NEWSLETTER – May 13, 2024 [Cayman’s Rosa Harris on video]
We hope Mother’s Day brought our moms an abundance of love, joy and grace.
In roles that range from early-morning feeders and all-day caretakers to late-night comforters, not to mention being advocates, confidantes and best friends, being a mother is undoubtedly the toughest and most demanding job many will ever undertake.
Despite the demands, mothers around the world wouldn’t trade this role for anything.
At the same time, let us keep in our thoughts the mothers who are navigating through pain due to various struggles and conflicts across the globe. May they find strength and support in their communities.

Caribbean Week, hosted by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) at the InterContinental New York Times Square, is set to captivate New York City from June 16-21, 2024.
Celebrating its 35th anniversary under the theme “Connecting the Globe, Celebrating Diversity”, CTO will produce this premier event for travel industry professionals, journalists and members of the Caribbean Diaspora with a packed schedule of discussions, awards and networking opportunities.
As a fitting tribute to Caribbean-American Heritage Month, the week will feature a range of activities, including a church service, a Business and Tourism Marketing Symposium, and the highly anticipated Caribbean Media Awards and Media Marketplace.
Special sessions will delve into a variety of topics, including the role of artificial intelligence in the travel industry, strategies for service excellence, the importance of multicultural marketing, and the future of smart destination management.
Highlights include a leadership breakfast awards event focused on women’s empowerment as well as a Cricket Ceremony and Watch Party.

Media Marketplace returns to Caribbean Week |
CTO’s Media Marketplace returns this year during Caribbean Week in New York.
The event serves as a vibrant platform where Caribbean countries converge to engage with an array of media representatives, including trade, consumer and diaspora outlets.
It offers an invaluable opportunity for destinations to showcase their unique attractions, cultural offerings, and tourism initiatives directly to influential members of the media.
Through one-on-one meetings, participants forge meaningful connections, pitch story ideas, and cultivate relationships that drive positive coverage and promotion of the Caribbean region.
