MVA on Crewe Road

Police and other emergency services are on the scene of a two vehicle MVA on Crewe Road in the vicinity of the junction with Smith Road. One person was reportedly trapped in a vehicle but was freed with no serious injuries. Some traffic diversions unto Smith Road and Dorcy Drive are expected.

Motorist are requested to avoid that area until the scene is cleared.

 

UPDATED: Arrest in Last Weeks’ Robbery at Local Jewelry Store

Further to the information below, the woman, age 37, of West Bay, was charged today with two counts of Theft in connection with separate matters. The woman will appear in court today.

A quantity of jewelry of high value reported missing from the Mitzi’s Fine Jewelry as a result of the robbery on 18 November has not been recovered.

A woman, age 37, was arrested today on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incident that took place last Wednesday, 18 November, at a Mitzi’s Fine Jewelry on West Bay Road. The woman is currently in police custody.

 

Burned vehicle found in North Side Tuesday night

Just before midnight last night, 24 November, officers discovered a burned-out vehicle in the Frank Sound area of North Side. No injuries associated with the vehicle fire were reported. Police are investigating the incident.
