The National Community Enhancement (NiCE) Programme Returns: Temporary Employment Opportunity for Holiday and New Year Period

George Town, Grand Cayman – Thursday, November 14, 2024 – The Ministry of Planning, Agriculture, Housing, Infrastructure, Transport & Development (PAHITD), under the guidance of Hon. Johany ‘Jay’ Ebanks, proudly announces the return of the National Community Enhancement Project (NiCE Programme). This initiative offers temporary employment for qualified individuals, taking place in two phases: December 9-20, 2024, and January 6-18, 2025. Through participation in the NiCE Project, individuals will engage in vital community enhancement projects that contribute to the improvement of local infrastructure, public spaces, and the environment.

Hon. Jay Ebanks, Minister for Planning, Agriculture, Housing, Infrastructure, Transport & Development (PAHITD) expressed his support for the project, stating, “The NiCE Project is more than an employment opportunity; it is a call to action for Caymanians to come together and make a positive impact on our communities. This initiative allows participants to gain valuable work experience while fostering a sense of pride and ownership in the beautiful Cayman Islands. About the NiCE Programme
The NiCE Programme provides Caymanians with short-term employment focused on community betterment projects, including roadside maintenance, beach cleaning, and support for public facilities. Participants gain valuable work experience while making a meaningful impact in the Cayman Islands.

  *   Online Registration Opens: November 15, 2024
  *   Registration Closes: November 21, 2024
  *   Eligibility: Open to Caymanians aged 18 and above
