he Cayman Islands Equestrian Federation (CIEF) hosted its fourth National Dressage show of the 2023/2024 show season on Saturday 2th March at the Cayman Islands Equestrian Center on Linford Pierson Highway. Jeanne McDonald, a United States Equestrian Federation “S” Judge with over 35 years of experience, attended the event to assess 17 junior and adult competitors who respectively took part in a total of 22 tests of varying difficulty.

There was a busy congregation of riders, parents and volunteers arriving at the Equestrian Center before the sun came up on Saturday morning preparing for the show ahead. The eagerness of the riders turned out to be well worth the effort. The quality of horsemanship throughout the show was outstanding and was reflected in the test scores, which were some the highest of the 2023/2024 season.

Jenna Superfine was named High Point Adult for her ride at Training Level Test 3 on Joey and Katelyn Lastrina was named High Point Junior for her ride at Training Level Test 1 on Who Whiz That Cowboy.

The next CIEF show will be National Jumping series #3, which is being held on March 17th, and the next dressage show will be April 20th. Both competitions will be held at the Equestrian Center and are open to all CIEF registered members. Spectators are welcome and admission is free.
