Now Recruiting: Annual Internship 2023-24Deadline for applications 21 July
We are now accepting applications for our annual National Gallery Internship. This exciting opportunity is a twelve month, entry-level training position for young Caymanians, designed to introduce the successful applicant to the museum and gallery profession. The role paves the way for the successful applicant to experience and become familiar with all aspects of gallery operations and work closely with the community.The Intern, during this time, will support the completion of administrative and operational tasks within the Gallery, providing support and cover as required, taking ownership of assigned projects and following them through to completion.
The deadline for applications is Friday, 21 July 2023, with the position starting in August 2023 or agreed.

3rd Biennial Awards In July, the winners of the 3rd Cayman Islands Biennial Emerging Artist Award and Bendel Hydes Award will be announced at a special ceremony for artists. These prestigious awards are selected by a jury to recognize the strongest works based on theme, originality, execution and overall quality. What’s On: Education
Art at the Libraries Various Library branches in JulyWe’re coming to a library near you to offer arts & crafts classes this Summer! We’ll be at the West Bay Public Library for their Summer of Friendship art programme on Wednesdays & Thursdays in July, and our usual last Saturday family art classes at the North Sideand Bodden Town libraries on 29 July. Join us for creative family fun!
Watercolour Workshop on Cayman Brac6 July, 10:00AM – 1:00PM Get creative at this free workshop open for all ages! Join us at the Cayman Brac Beach Resort for a drop-in watercolour session inspired by the Highlights from the Collectionexhibition currently on view at CBBR. Art materials will be provided.
Poetry Open Mic Night 20 July, 6:30PM Join us for a poetry evening inspired by the themes of the 3rd Cayman Islands Biennial. Enjoy the words of local poets and share your own poetry, spoken word or acoustic stylings. Free and open to all audiences, with refreshments provided. Learn more.
