National Hurricane Center watching one area for potential development
There are no active tropical cyclones across the Atlantic basin at this time.
However, we are monitoring a cluster of showers and thunderstorms that is currently located around halfway between the west coast of Africa and the Lesser Antilles or over 1,000 miles to the southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands. This area may become better organized by early next week as it continues to track westward. Any potential feature would not reach the Lesser Antilles until late next week.
