NBSC introduces e-Banking Services
In an effort to create increased and convenient alternatives to traditional banking, the National Building Society of Cayman will officially launch its new online banking portal on July 3, 2014. Live by NBSC, another distribution channel of the Building Society, will allow customers ease of access to their savings accounts from anywhere in the world and at any time at their convenience.
Acknowledging that the introduction of Live by NBSC is a strategic move, which was customer driven, Ms. Wanica Purkiss, general manager of NBSC, said that customers will enjoy the benefits of having unlimited access to their accounts, as well as the secure and fast option of carrying out banking and payment transactions online.
“With this new online portal, our members will have 24 hour access to their accounts and will be able to do banking and payment transactions on their own time. Specific transactions that would require customers to visit the branch can now be done remotely,” Ms Purkiss said.
To introduce this service, sessions will be conducted at the NBSC office on July 3 and 4, 2014. This will facilitate on the spot interactions with customers and provide a practical guide on how to use the online portal. New Live by NBSC accounts will also be created.
With banking information at their fingertips, account holders of Live by NBSC will benefit from a user friendly platform, which grants them the opportunity to closely monitor savings and loan accounts based on balance updates, which are generated in real time. Clients will also be able to electronically transfer funds from a savings account to existing NBSC investment and loan accounts, and purchase foreign exchange.
Following this launch, a second phase is scheduled to be implemented to facilitate other services, including utility bill payment and funds transfers to other institutions.
