Nepali community in Cayman Island provides relief materials to 115 quake-hit families

Sindhupalchowk, May 20: The Nepali community living in Cayman Islands, has provided corrugated zinc sheets to 115 earthquake victim families at Kaping of Lamosanghu, Sindhupalchowk district.

The Nepali community people in the Cayman Island collected around Rs 400,000 and bought 60 bundles of corrugated zinc sheet to support the quake victims so as to support them for building the temporary shelters.

Representative of the Nepali community in Cayman Island Sirjana Baniya and Lions Club of Kathmandu, Eureka, Vice-chairman Dr Peter Gen, jointly handed over the relief materials to quake victims of Pangretar VDC Ward No 1 and 2.

Handing over the relief materials to the quake survivors, Baniya said the Nepali community people in the Cayman Island cut their individual expenses and collected money to support the quake victims in the district. She said they had also contributed support to the quake victims in Nuwakot as well.

Dr Peter said the Lions Club of Kathmandu has been contributing support in various phases to the quake victims in Gorkha, Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Kavre, and Sindhupalchowk districts.
