Canada-bound women netballers received a warm send-off from Her Excellency the Governor, Helen Kilpatrick on Friday, 15 August 2014.

The Governor hosted a get-together for the team which will represent the Cayman Islands at the Americas Federation of Netball Associations Regional Qualifying Championship 2014 in Calgary, Alberta.

“We are very proud of you and we will be rooting for you,” the Governor told them.

Speaking on behalf of the netballers, Katherine Gow said they had been training hard and looked forward to playing their best in the competition.

The tournament will bring together the best netballers in the region to vie for a berth in the 2015 World Netball Championships in Australia.
