New airline, BlueSky, launched in Cayman Islands

BlueSky is a new commercial airline, based in the Cayman Islands, whose primary objective is to interconnect the Caribbean and Latin America region.

BlueSky Airlines Projected Network (subject to government approval) flights from Grand Cayman direct to Santo Dominigo, Montego Bay, Panama City, Cartagena, Cancun and Nassau. And from those locations, BlueSky will then offer onward flights to Tortola, Bogota and San Jose.

Powered by two 5,071 shp PW150A engines, the Q400 aircraft has excellent airfield performance and cruise speeds up to 667 km/h, making it almost as fast as jets on trips up to 555 km.

An active noise cancellation system keeps the Q400 cabin noise level to 77 DBA.
