New ASU recruits score high marks

IMG_1287Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (11 April, 2016) The Cayman Islands Airports Authority (CIAA) welcomed seven new recruits to the Airport Security Unit on Friday, 8 April. After a week of intensive training, the young Caymanians passed their final exams with flying colors with a total average of 98%. The CIAA’s Chief Security Officer, Shane Bothwell said, “This was the highest scoring class that we have had so far. I would like to congratulate the young officers for all their hard work and I wish them success in the future.”

The seven new officers assigned to the Owen Roberts International Airport will start working on Tuesday, 12 April. The Airport Security Unit is tasked with safeguarding civil aviation operations within the Cayman Islands against acts of unlawful interference.
