Cayman Islands launch new passport design

The Cayman Islands Department of Immigration wishes to advise the general public that as of 14th June 2016 Cayman Islands British overseas territories citizens received a new design of passport. This is the very latest biometric version of the passport that is available to British nationals.

The physical design of the passport has been changed to help keep it secure from forgers and fakers by making it harder to copy or tamper with.

It incorporates the very latest and most secure printing and design techniques and exceeds the highest level of internationally recognised security standards.

There is no need for customers to exchange their current passport. All current passports remain valid until their expiry date.

There is no change to existing application arrangements, processes or timescales.
