The Savannah United Church commissioned three persons as part of their ministry team during worship on Sunday, September 7, 2014. Mr. Noel Wallace, the Music Minister, who has been with the Church for the last 12 years as Music and Youth Director, is joined by Rev. Thuara Ngamlai, Youth Minister, and Mr. Richard Christian, Assistant Youth Minister.

This move by the Church, is part of their strategic and intentional focus on Youth ministries. The Church runs several youth programmes including Sunday School, Girls Brigade, Boys Scouts, an After School Enrichment Programme, and a vibrant Youth Fellowship of just under one hundred youth. Their vision is to reach and nurture children and youth into a growing relationship with Christ.

The Church’s Minister, Rev. Donovan Myers, expressed gratitude for the new members of the team who collectively bring varying gifts of training and experience in theology, music, education, political science and banking to the roles they will perform. They also possess wide ranging cross-cultural ministry experience. Beyond that is their commitment to Christ, His Church and the ministry to which they have been called.

Mr. Wallace is theologically and musically trained and brings years of experience of choral direction and Church music.
