Proud mom and dad Petrona and Orantis Rankin were celebrating the fourth member of their family, and the first baby born in the Cayman Islands Hospital on New Years Day.

“The baby was born on 11 minutes past 12 on New Year’s Day. I’m so happy – it’s the best gift ever,” Mrs Rankin said.

The baby, to be named after his dad, weighed seven pounds and six ounces. “We have three girls –he’s the first boy,” an overjoyed Mr. Rankin said.
