On Thursday 16^th May at Owen Roberts Airport, Grand Cayman, the New York Jets will be arriving in a JetBlue aircraft that will be using the green and white NY Jets branded aircraft, which is the first time that this iconic branded aircraft will arrive in the Cayman Islands.

To celebrate the NY Jets arrival the Department of Tourism will be welcoming the aircraft with a water cannon salute (shower of affection).

The Department of Tourism has successfully brokered a partnership opportunity with the New York Jets, whereby the Cayman Islands will be the featured destination for the NY Jets “Flight Crew” swimsuit calendar shoot. (The Flight Crew is the Jets Cheerleader squad.)

The scheduled programme is:

10:45am        Plane arrives with pilots waving Cayman Islands flags from cockpit windows.

Shower of affection by Fire Services Department on touchdown

Aircraft then parks in allocated area and passengers de-plane. NY Jets cheerleader’s squad remain on board the aircraft.

11:10am        Cheerleaders photo op on the aircraft steps and on the tarmac

with the aircraft as the backdrop.

DOT Staff will be in position along the path from the aircraft to the arrivals lounge to escort media and the NY jets cheerleading squad to the arrivals area where media will exit and NY jets will proceed through immigration and customs.
