Conch Season Ends April 30th

The Department of Environment reminds the public that conch season ends on Tuesday, 30 April 2013, whereby conch can no longer be harvested after this date.

It is illegal to catch conch between 1 May and 31 October, with a fine of up to CI$500,000 may be imposed on any person(s) taking conch from Cayman waters during these months.  This includes the purchase of conch, or possession of conch taken from Cayman.

Conch season reopens on 1 November 2013.
