Management Ltd. (OPIM), an Asia hedge fund platform, has partnered with Marinius Research (Cayman) to launch Marinius Fund, a Cayman-domiciled hedge fund for professional investors.
Managed by Portfolio Manager Richmond Lee, the Fund seeks to generate absolute return and capital appreciation while maintaining volatility at a controlled level. A fully systematic approach will be deployed to manage a portfolio consisting of liquid, exchanged-listed financial instruments. The strategies, both directional and delta-neutral, will attempt to capture profit opportunities arising from price movement predicted by proven statistical models.

“We focus on researching and deploying trading models which are robust, that is, strategies that target consistent returns from one year to the next.” Mr. Lee explains.

Mr. Richmond Lee is also the founder of the newly established Marinius Research (Cayman), the investment manager of the Fund. Mr. Lee has over 20 years of investment and banking experience, previously a partner at Gandhara Capital, Director at Deutsche Bank, and began his career at Morgan Stanley. He received his Bachelor of Economics, magna cum laude, from Yale University in 1996.

Voted HFM’s Hedgefund Platform of the Year 2017, OPIM has signed 20 new funds this year, including Marinius Fund.
