Telephone Sex Accusation Against Ralph Gonsalves PM of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Well I have listened to the tapes several times and I have been close enough and know Gonsalves well enough to honestly believe it is him featured as the male in the taped telephone sex conversation.

Of course we must out of common decency assume it is not him, or at least you all can, not me. There are ways of analyzing the tapes to other taped voice recordings of Gonsalves voice.

Let’s make it quite clear there is no law prohibiting two consenting persons from talking dirty to each other on the telephone, even masturbation and self sexual gratification during such calls is not an offence. This is nothing like the rape charge that was brought against Gonsalves; it is nothing like the sexual molestation charge brought against him or any of the other accusations against him by several women.

If this is Gonsalves it is disrespect for his family, they have had to endure all sorts of sexual accusations against him over the years.

I first listened to the tapes when they were sent to my Blackberry phone, in fact they were sent to just about everyone I know as people listen and the pass them on to friends at home and abroad. The tapes I am told have gone internationally viral.

I must say that I have never passed the tapes on or forwarded them to anyone else. I do not agree with such procedure in this matter. In fact whoever made the recordings should not have done so and it is they that may have committed some kind of offence.

Then this morning I read an article and listened once more to the tapes which were posted by the editor of Vinci ‘Kallaloo’ titled “Of Ramon, Boxers and Infection: is Ralph Gonsalves Sick”

Ramon, Boxers and Infection refers to HIV, but Kallaloo kindly only enquires is Gonsalves sick?

It’s all very well Gonsalves saying it’s not me and his followers hoping it isn’t and at the same time declaring it’s not him. Then naming and blaming the girl on the tapes, just like other women have been named that have charged him with sex crimes against them.

Then bringing sound engineers to ‘pooh-pooh’ the tapes as forgeries when they are not experts in forensic sound patterns to verify the persons in the tapes.

Voice identification is the process of comparing two or more voice samples in order to determine if the two voices are consistent with one another. All voices have unique characteristics that are determined by an individual’s vocal cavity. Because of this, it is possible to analyze audio recordings using various methods and tools to scientifically compare two recorded voices. This process involves an intensive visual analysis of the audio information as well as an extensive auditory analysis. There are many experts who administer this science using a spectrogram. Presentation by so called sound engineers on behalf of Gonsalves or the ULP I regard as a sham.

The spectrogram, a plot of frequency content over time, and the waveform, a plot of amplitude over time, are closely examined. During this step, the pacing of words and frequency content of each voice are analyzed and noted for comparison. Fundamental frequencies, or formants, can identify unique characteristics about individual’s voices and vocal cavities.

What we may consider is that these recording were made by someone else other than the people on them. Like the telephone engineers employed to tap telephones on behalf of the ULP government. Like hackers who can hack into any cell phone conversations. It’s all been done before to the British Royal family even. I do not understand why the girl would broadcast such tapes false or real with her name in the frame which may well affect her future for ever. Now her name is confirmed by the regime but Gonsalves name is denied, does that tell us anything? Other than that he is a liar that is, we must consider his past record for telling lies when considering this whole matter. Some including myself consider him to be a serial liar and as such believe nothing that he says.
